When the Internet connects one person in Atlanta, with another in El Paso it’s nice; when the same connection allows a complete stranger to be absolutely provided for, it’s something else entirely.
Tony and Elisa, I cannot thank you both enough for last night and this morning – the meals, the running conversation, and the opportunity to sleep on the plushest couch in the world. It was such a special end to what has been a special run through very special State.

Texas is behind me now. It’s extremely difficult to think about it, because it’s meant so much in so many different ways, because of so many different people. I had my reservations about the state just given the size. Ever how many days ago when I crossed the border from LA, I had no idea what I was in for. It may take 2 years to go back over what has happened.
I can’t quite see San Diego yet, but it’s closer by the day. I have no idea what my ETA will be; hopefully, sooner than later.
