Please excuse me

HOLY FUCKING C-A-L-I-F-O-R-N-I-A!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I feel a little better after that…  hang on,
HOLY FUCKING C-A-L-I-F-O-R-N-I-A!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I don’t know what to say – other than what shows above.  New Mexico and Arizona almost did me in physical – but yesterday’s roughly 120 mile ride was so worth it.

While there very well may be no crying in baseball, there most certainly is crying when a road weary, weather beaten 34 year old rolls the front wheel of his equally road weary, weather beaten 1986 Centurion (SINGLE SPEED) bicycle across the California line…. holy shit.

For all the haters, skeptics, or super athletic cigar aficionados named Brian, I’m tempted to tell you to go pound sand, fuck off, or eat a salad, or whatever, but this is no place for that…

To those that have been here for the last 7 weeks almost with positive comments, and positive words, I just want to say thank you.  This includes everyone from PHX – Nikki, Richard and Eric – super nice time chatting with all three.  Nikki came away with a  few photos of me so I’ll try and dig those up since I haven’t taken a photo since Hunt, TX.  I’m fresh out of photographic inspiration given that most would be the classic side-of-the-road photo in the middle of no where after taking a short break.

I’m not finished obviously, but I can’t tell you how amazing it feels to have crossed the border. A good ride yet to San Diego, one that I am really looking forward to.

I have a good write up pending for my run in with a group of riders en route to San Diego as well – amazing really.  I hope to get more details today while in Blythe.
