Dream with the

feathers  of angels stuffed beneath your head; The Regulator’s swinging pendulum.”
The Regulator - Clutch

Maryland’s poet laureate  Neil Fallon and his three fellow travels came up with lyrics and a song that strikes at the very heart of my current location – the rest of the song is amazing by the way.  While no regulators running the country side, it’s not hard to imagine.

The 55 mile ride this morning from Sanderson to Marathon cuts through the very heart of an area made famous for train robberies, and Indian attacks.  At the local library in Sanderson, I was provided with a book giving the running history of the town – complete with various photos of the hanging plight of those found guilty of robbery.

Anyway, Marathon.
