to the best of them. My rear tire finally decided it was having no more of the trip. Well, actually, it would have probably lasted a few more miles – maybe 100 – but it was very much at the end.
The timing couldn’t have been better, since I arrived in Bastrop ,TX this morning where there was a bike shop. And, at that, they had the same tire. I’m not yet ready to give the manufacturer a ringing endorsement, but I guess after about 1500 miles, it’s not a surprise that it need to be replaced.
Bastrop is about 30 miles, depending on the route, to Austin. I’m hoping to be able to stay in Bastrop this evening, and maybe tomorrow, then make the trip to Austin on Monday.
My time spent in La Grange was amazing, so much so that I’m choosing to reflect a little before dumping it blindly online – full of surprises and excitement,
