Buda… well, close maybe.
Austin is behind me, or east of center at this point. The last 4 week have comprised of time spent at RV parks, state parks, recreation centers, mud, grass, etc, etc. Austin has much the same variety, plus an added establishment know as a hostel…
For the average American, that could very well mean any number of things – often with hint of truth.
Fortunately, the hostel in Austin is outstanding – much on par with NZ. Super good time there – folks from all over – Base-jumping Kiwi’s, corporate Aussies, BMX-Germans who sleep in their brand new 1978 Chevy van – Scoopy-doo, editors from Portland, on and on and on and on…
My plan is to try and hit Blanco before the end of the day. The landscape is starting to change – hills, then flat, then hills, so no idea what I’m in for.
Many thanks as always for the comments – cheers Kent for chiming in, nice to hear from you. And for those who were waiting for photos of me breaking my ass, and maybe bike at the T-1 ramp – well, not sure what to say…
